Špindlerův Mlýn - Krkonoše

Špindlerův Mlýn is an outstanding centre of summer tourism. Thanks to its position in the centre of the mountains it is an ideal starting point for the ridge hikes on the large area of the Krkonoše National Park. The entrance to the mountains is easy because of the two ski-lifts and a bus link to the Slezské saddle.

The winter season has even a greater importance. Because Špindlerův Mlýn has built up a position of the most significant Krkonoše and Czech ski centre. The downhill areas in St. Peter, in Medvědín and other places offer 22 km (from which 12 km are artificially snowed up) downhill tracks of different level of strenuosity. In nearby Horní Misečky and Pláně there are trimmed tracks for skirunners. In Labský hollow you can find a touristic track „Be fit!“.

The winter offer is supplemented by the sledge and bobsleigh track (also summer workings) and romantic joyrides in the sleigh with the team of horse. Wide accommodation and board opportunities are a commonplace. Good information to the visitors is given by the information centres organized by the municipal authority, by the Administrative unit of the Krkonoše National Park and also by the private subjects.
